OnlyFans Hashtags – the ultimate guide

What Are Hashtags?
Hashtags are super important for getting attention on Twitter and Insta.
You can use hashtags on some other platforms too like Facebook but it’s not very effective there… Insta and Twitter is where it’s at for Hashtags!
Hashtags are simply the # sign plus a keyword. Example = #asiangirl.
Hashtags are great for getting your content found on social media.
People can follow hashtags. So if someone was following the #asiangirl hashtag and you made a post with ‘#asiangirl’ in the caption… those people might find your content…
Insta uses the hashtags you selected in your post to display that post in the feeds of those hashtags.
This means that any of the MILLIONS of Insta users that search #asiangirl or #whateverHashtagYouUse might see your content.
Hashtags CANNOT use dots (.), symbols (!@+=) or spaces. But they CAN contain emojis, underscores (_), upper and lower case letters and numbers.
How many hashtags should you use?
Insta and Twitter are both limited to 30 hashtags (in a caption or comment) and I ALWAYS get asked “how many hashtags should I use?”
And I always answer that you should use ALL 30 or at least a MINIMUM of 10… Why? Because every hashtag you use opens up a CHANCE for people to see your content. So why limit your chances to get attention?
And you can always remove hashtags later if you don’t wanna look ‘try-hard’…
The most important hashtags to ALWAYS use are :
- Hashtags related to your niche (e.g. #asiangirl)
- Hashtags related to your SUB-NICHE (e.g. #filipina)
- If you still have not used 30 hashtags then fill up your remaining hashtags with VIRAL, TRENDING and EMOTIONAL hashtags

Hashtag Categories
Let’s look at the 4 main categories of HashTags you can use:
Niche and sub-niche hashtags
These hashtags should be directly related to your niche either broadly (e.g. #asiangirl) or more specifically (e.g. #filipina). Niche and sub-niche hashtags are the most important hashtags to use… so do some research using free online tools and select them carefully.
Other examples of niche hashtags: #bbw, #pawg , #gamergirl and so on.
Trending hashtags
Trending hashtags are popular when some event is happing. Events like the super-bowl, pride week, the ‘C virus’ or large protests will have trending hashtags that are super popular for a (usually short) period of time. It’s a good idea to try and use trending hashtags especially if you can make your content related to the trending hashtag, even in some small or trivial way like making the caption related to the trending hashtag.
Example hashtags: #worldcup #BLM #prideweek
Emotion hashtags
At the end of the day we’re all human. And humans are emotional. Emotional hashtags will always be popular for this reason. Use emotional hashtags when your content evokes an emotion… Like if you’re smiling in your picture add a #happy hashtag.
Use emotional hashtags if you have not already used 30 hashtags and you’re out of niche, sub-niche, and trending hashtags.
Viral hashtags.
There are super popular hashtags with more than 100 million posts… Generally, you should stay away from these are they are over-saturated. There are too many people using them so it’s hard to get noticed on these hashtags and have success so only use viral hashtags if you’re not at 30 and out of niche, trending, and emotion hashtags.
Example viral hashtags: #love #instagood #cute #follow #followme #happy #photo
Tip: On Twitter, you can (generally) post whatever adult hashtags you want but on Instagram, you need to be MUCH more careful.

Hashtag Blacklists
Instagram ‘blacklists’ certain hashtags. This makes it IMPOSSIBLE for people to find content on these ‘blacklisted’ hashtags.
Instagram will blacklist hashtags with keywords related to nudity, onlyfans, sexually explicit content and also illegal substances, racial issues, etc.
Black listed hashtags
Let’s look at an example of a blacklisted hashtag on Instagram: #onlyfansgirl

The most recent posts are not shown anymore because users have reported them to Instagram.
To avoid this problem, on Instagram, don’t use hashtags related to nudity, onlyfans, or sexually explicit content.
If you’re unsure if a hashtag is safe or not to use… before using it you should search that hashtag yourself to see if Instagram shows or hides recent posts.
If Instagram hides recent posts, you should not use that Hashtag on Insta…
Tip: Note that while #onlyfansgirl is blacklisted on IG it is perfectly fine to use on Twitter.
That applies to all OnlyFans related HashTags: OK to use on Twitter NOT OK to use on Insta…

Frequently Asked Questions
Hashtags are a good way to promote your social media pages (Twitter, Instagram & Tiktok) where you’re social media contains some way for viewers of those pages to then find your OnlyFans. For example, you could have your Twitter link in your Instagram bio and your OnlyFans link in your Twitter bio. Then you could use safe hashtags to safely promote your Instagram page and viewers of that page can find your OnlyFans via your Twitter link in your bio.
Good OnlyFans hashtags are hashtags related to your niche / your style of content. For example – if you’re a BBW content creator then you would want to focus on BBW and related hashtags.
How much you make on OnlyFans depends on how much money you make from subscriptions and also how much you earn from Pay Per View content. If you were starting with say 5,000 followers on social media converting 3% of them to paying subscribers would be a good conversion rate. At a fairly cheap $4.99 subscription price this would net $750/month in subscriptions. However, smart creators earn only 20% or less of their total via subscriptions. The real money is in PPV content. So this creator could expect to earn around $3750 with subscriptions and PPV content.
You can start an OnlyFans with no followers. It just means that your first few weeks and months will be slower than someone starting with followers. If you post consistently you can quickly become successful as an OnlyFans creator even starting with no followers.
Yes, there are multiple ways to remain anonymous on OnlyFans. The most full-proof way is to be a faceless OnlyFans creator. However, this does make it more difficult to attract new subscribers. You can compromise by keeping your social media faceless and only showing your face on paid OnlyFans content. This way a lot fewer people will have a chance to discover your identity.
